Certificates of next of kin or guarantor relatives are issued by the Department of Municipal Status of the Directorate of Administration, located at the Town Hall, 15 Alsos Street, 2nd floor, tel. 213 2025 241 – 213 2025 244, and are available only for deceased citizens of our Municipality.

The issuance of a next of kin certificate is necessary following a person’s death for the settlement of their assets, acceptance or renunciation of inheritance, as well as for tax authorities and banks.

The certificate is issued only once; any subsequent requests by the above-mentioned service will result in the issuance of an exact photocopy to the legal beneficiaries. For use in Public Services, the concerned person may provide a simple photocopy of the original certificate, as according to Law 4250/2014 (Government Gazette 74/A/26-03-2014), validation of the original document has been abolished.
