Social Care
The Social Structures of the Municipality of Glyfada offer systematic support to many citizens affected by the economic crisis. Overcoming difficulties and believing in the power of giving and the solidarity of our citizens, we have managed to consistently support eight hundred and fifty-five (855) families, comprising 1,700 members, with food, cleaning and hygiene items, clothing and footwear, toys, etc.
Beneficiaries of the Social Structures’ programmes can be:
Greek citizens residing in our Municipality
Expatriates residing in our Municipality
Foreigners residing in our Municipality who hold a residence permit
Occasionally, citizens of our Municipality who reside in other areas may also be served, provided they submit a certificate from their local municipality confirming that they do not receive aid there.
Income is the main criterion for inclusion in the programme, while factors such as family situation, social problems, unemployment, health issues, and disabilities are also taken into account.
