A brief look at the life of Forrest Gump, an American who in his
life has lived through all the historical moments of post-war America. His mother,
knowing that he is a person of diminished mental capacity, made sure from a young
age to help him get through the rest of his life easily. In the company of his girlfriend
, Jenny, he goes through the hardships of adolescence, but also experiences unrequited love
with her. He joins the army and serves in Vietnam, becomes a star of
baseball and ping pong, manages a good professional life and
even goes as far as meeting the President of the United States. However,
Forrest himself remains untouched by it all, as the memory of Jenny, who
has been lost in the world of hippies and drugs, was and still is alive
in him. By the end of the story, everything will have made sense…
