The Children’s and Mixed Choir of the Glyfada Municipal Conservatory, through its continuous development and creative course, invites us to a special musical experience of polyphonic singing – from international musical theatre and favourite musicals to the timeless Greek song.

In Part A, the Children’s Choir performs songs from The Sound of Music, Annie and Mamma Mia. Next, the Mixed Chorus brings to life on stage tunes from Broadway and the big screen – La La Land, Singing in the Rain, Girl Crazy and the spectacular Phantom of the Opera – transporting the audience into the magic of musicals.

Part B is dedicated to three leading creators of Greek music: Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Hadjidakis and Mimis Plessa. Their immortal songs are highlighted through the voices of the choir and the warmth of the Municipal Conservatory’s nine-piece orchestra.

The musical direction is by Maria Bilika, while the orchestration is by Dimitris Sikias. The piano is accompanied by Thodoris Korakas and Christina Skarlatou, the mandolin by Rena Hamilaki, while also participating are: Konstantinos Zikos (violin), Konstantina Kalyva (flute), Panagiota Pονηrou (clarinet), Panos Zemberligos (oboe), Eugenia Pονηrou (trumpet), Alkis Tomboulos (organ & percussion), Vangelis Pονηros (drums & percussion).
