The Glyfada Festival makes history !
Second consecutive theatrical evening with much laughter, obvious enthusiasm and enthusiastic applause. Molière’s “The Doctor with the Pew”, by the D.P.E.T.E. Serres, was an amazing performance, which conveyed to the audience the comic spirit of Molière, highlighting the timeless message of the work about human folly, hypocrisy and the need for humor. A sparkling period comedy, which, through the excellent direction and dramaturgical editing of Dinos Psychogiou, conveyed the meaning of the play in the best possible way and offered a lot of laughter.
The story was about Gerondo, who tries to marry his daughter to a rich man while she pretends to be a patient. The pseudo-doctor Sagnarello, whom Molière often interpreted, unwittingly becomes an accomplice to the lovers.
Another unique and wonderful evening at the Glyfada Festival, the institution established in our city by the Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou and is a huge success.
The audience was welcomed, with a warm greeting, by the Municipal Councillor for Culture, Georgia Vamvakerou, who is responsible for the coordination of the events.
Entrance is always free for everyone, residents and visitors of our city. Instead of a ticket, the Municipality of Glyfada collects food and medicines for its social structures.
