The opening ceremony of the summer creative employment program of the Municipality of Glyfada, in which 1,400 children aged 5 to 14 years old participate, was impressive again this year. Five wonderful weeks follow for everyone: for the little ones, who will have a great time, have fun, acquire new knowledge and new friendships, but also for the adults – the families of Glyfada – who will feel safe knowing that their children are in a pleasant and protected environment.
“The Summer Camp of the Municipality of Glyfada started today, as you can see, with smiles and enthusiasm at the indoor stadium of Glyfada’s DAK!”, stresses the Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou. And adds:
“For the next five weeks, around 1,400 children, including our disabled children, will take part in a programme full of surprises.
They will have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge, enjoy creative activities, exciting games, swimming, sports and many educational excursions, making use of the modern infrastructure and the beautiful beaches of our Municipality.
Above all, we pay the utmost attention to the safety and care of children.
We want them to be carefree, have fun, make new friendships and return home with the most wonderful memories!

The responsibility and coordination of the event is the responsibility of the Deputy Mayor of Education, Lifelong Learning and Youth Annie Kauka and the Municipal Councillor for Sports Manolis Hantzos.
