The Glyfada Night Run is coming !
The Glyfada Run 2026, co-organized by the Municipality of Glyfada and the Region of Attica, was a huge success with the participation of more than 1,500 runners. A high level sporting event on the coastal front of our city, which is one of the most beautiful routes in Attica.
“Our Glyfada is now distinguished for its sports events and becomes a reference point for road races!”, stresses the Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou, who declared the start of the races. He adds: “With the participation of more than 1,500 young and old citizens, the Glyfada Run 2026 on our beach was a huge success. From early this morning, our beach was filled with people of all ages who woke up in the best mood to run, walk and enjoy the beauty of our seafront. Such a great and warm response from all of you gives us the strength not only to continue, but to make these sporting events even more intense and dynamic. A big thank you to all the participants, to our volunteers, to those who contributed to the organization and of course to our municipal authority’s manager Manolis Hanjo for the excellent coordination. Next appointment… soon, at the Glyfada Night Run! Get ready!” 
With free participation for everyone, starting and finishing at the Old Town Hall of Glyfada, there were routes for all ages and levels:
5 km – Time Limit 1 hour ( 60 minutes)
Disabled Race – Special Olympics 500m
Children’s race 500m (D, E, F Primary School)
Cups were awarded to the top three finishers in the 5km general category (Men – Women)
Award for the most numerous team in the 5km:
– The smallest and the smallest at 5km.
– The longest and the longest in the 5km.
Medals were awarded to all participants who finished the 5 km race
The awards were made by the Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou, the municipal authority responsible for the organization, Councillor Manolis Hantzos, the President of the Municipal Council of Glyfada Dafnoula Harisi – Bilia, the Deputy Mayors Annie Kauka, Dimitris Nitsiopoulos, Eleni Karahou – Skoutari and the Municipal Councillors George Tavernarakis, Petros Karaminas, as well as Nikos Tsampiras and Maria Kyriakopoulou, who participated in the 5 km race.
Participants will be able to receive their participation diploma with their full name, time and ranking order electronically, after the official results are published, a few days after the event.
