Marines
Glyfada Marina consists of four small basins with a capacity of 146 vessels in the first, 94 in the second, 253 in the third and 259 in the fourth. Each basin can accommodate specific types of vessels depending on the draught and the entrance of the basin. In the marina area, berths have been identified according to the size of the boats that can be moored. Glyfada Marina can accommodate all types of vessels up to 35 metres in length.
Permanent Mooring
For the permanent mooring of a vessel, the owner must come to the Marina Management and Control Office of the municipality every calendar year in order to settle the financial obligation according to the marina regulations and to complete the vessel declaration form.
The original shipping documents of the vessel must also be presented.
For all vessels:
Owner’s ID or passport
Proof of residence (PPC – OTE bill or tax statement)
VAT number
All documents of foreign nationality, translated and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or by a lawyer with translation rights
Insurance policy from a legal and recognized company, valid until the end of the current year
In addition, for vessels up to 6.99 metres overall length:
Licence to operate recreational craft
In addition, for boats with an overall length of 7.00 metres and over:
Nationality document and, where applicable, a licence to operate a recreational craft
Movement certificate, in the case of vessels flying a foreign flag
Valid Decision of the Minister of Merchant Shipping, in the case of commercial vessels
Bank cheque made out to the order of “Municipality of Glyfada” or personal/company cheque with the issuer’s personal identification number, in case of a debt of more than €1,500.00
For Greek-flagged vessels, ship inspection document
For foreign-flagged vessels, a document certifying the maximum number of passenger beds the vessel can accommodate
Temporary Mooring
For the temporary mooring of a vessel, the owner should come at least 10 days in advance to the Marina Management and Control Office of the municipality, in order to settle the financial obligation for the period that the vessel will be accommodated in the municipality’s marina, according to the marina’s regulations, and to complete the temporary mooring application form and the appropriate declaration.
The original shipping documents of the vessel must also be presented.
