A dream playground in the Aegli of Glyfada!
Light, games, colours, a lot of systematic work, infinite love. With these materials, a dream playground was built in the Aegli of Glyfada, which opened for the first day today!
“Our new playground in Aegli, in Ano Glyfada, is open from today!
Summer may be slowly coming to an end, but the need for children to play and have fun never ends!
As every summer, we made the most of the time when our Glyfada was largely empty and we ran a number of projects even faster:One of these is our new, brand new playground, in the area of Aegli, in the block enclosed by the streets Dragoumi – Nymphs – Paleologos – St. George.
In place of the old playground, we created a modern and high quality playground that we hope is worthy of the expectations of our young friends and will compensate them for the delay we had in completing this particular effort:
With original games, with the right landscaping, with a colourful safety carpet, new ecological lighting and with new landscaping in the surrounding area where we planted many new large trees.
I thank all those who worked for this project, the company “Iliachtida and its head Antonis Papakyriakis for the excellent execution of the project, the deputy mayor Yannis Skaltsas for the coordination.
I must also remind you that this playground was first opened in 2013 during the mayoralty of my predecessor Kostas Kokkoris and was built with a donation from the then Ambassador of Kazakhstan S. Nurtayev.
In the coming days I will come back with the other projects that are completed and delivered to the residents of our city, changing and beautifying every neighborhood and Glyfada as a whole.
