After the great success of last year’s cycle of experiential workshops, Somatic Theatre returned to the Municipality of Glyfada!
Seventy-seven (77) amateur actors, children, teenagers and adults of all ages, through the dramatization of Poems and through Comedy, highlight Movement and the Body as a supreme form of Art and Expression.
In this year’s performance, Logos also comes to animate Somatic Theatre and harmoniously accompany Movement and Body.
Through seven (7) events, the actors as one Body and one Soul on stage, present Eros: The most beautiful “chaos” the soul can experience.
The theatrical performance is divided into two parts:
In the first part, children and teenagers give feelings of euphoria through Comedy. Mrs. Panopoulou Maria has inspired and written the part of the Comedy, which consists of anecdotes, which through their dramatization have been brought to life and are intended to share plenty of laughter with the audience.
In the second part, the adults enter and through the words of important poems they take the audience on a journey to the different manifestations of Eros. One emotion, hundreds of words: ideal, insane, unrequited, unrequited, mutual, sweeping, self-destructive, eternal.
It is a special performance, which stimulates strong emotions, such as emotion, love, empathy, smile and euphoria.
From the smallest to the largest, Physical Theatre helps self-improvement, socialization, deepening and the discovery of our true “I”, while at the same time one can enjoy the feeling of satisfaction that comes from the creative process. Theatre is an art form that works therapeutically, fostering cooperation and freedom of expression within a context of full acceptance and artistic creation.
The positive impact of Art and Physical Theatre on children and adolescents is significant. In a modern age where the stress of school and social performance is particularly high, through the free and creative expression of Comedy they manage to manage the difficulties of everyday life, improve social skills, enhance self-awareness and self-awareness and create healthy bridges of communication with those around them.
Especially for adolescents, who are preparing for their school and national exams, participation in the experiential workshops of Physical Theatre is a great relief from school and social stress, giving them a pleasant break from their daily obligations, offering them positive thinking, creative path, spiritual uplift and peace of mind, proving once again how beneficial and fruitful is the involvement with Art in these tender ages.
The Physical Theatre and Acting classes entitled “E-motions” (Emotion and Movement), undertaken by Mrs.Panopoulou Maria, gave the opportunity to young and old alike to discover the benefits and magic of theatre, in order to release the natural and innate talent that we all have. That of our “being”.
