More specifically, at the end of upper secondary school, students are asked to choose a direction, i.e., to take the first decisive step towards their studies and then their professional career. However, many times students are either good in many areas, do not feel mature enough to choose, or lack the necessary information and support to make decisions. Often, indeed, possible low self-esteem can lead them to make the wrong choices. However, especially in times of economic crisis such as the current one, there is no room for wasting resources and time. Consequently, correct and timely career guidance for the student saves valuable time and money, both for the student and his or her family, and prevents the mental and physical suffering of a wrong choice.

Students will be asked to answer a computer-based multiple-choice questionnaire, lasting about an hour, the results of which will enlighten them as to:

1. their abilities in different areas of knowledge (whether they are better in, e.g., theoretical or scientific sciences)

2. their interests (what they like)

3. their professional personality structure (which professional types they belong to)

4. their self-esteem (how they feel about themselves and their social environment)

5. their ability to set goals and the extent to which they are influenced by external factors

6. the schools and specific specialisations that suit them, while giving them the codes of the computer form they will fill in for admission to higher education

Then, during a special event, parents and students will receive a printed report of their results and attend a presentation-explanation to help them understand and use them in their decision-making process.
