Summer creative activity program
for children
5 - 14 years old of the city residents
As the school year draws to a close, our young students are eagerly counting down to the last bell. The city’s creative activity programme for children, running for five weeks, will begin on Monday, 16 June 2025, at 19:30.
Thanks to the initiative of the Mayor of Glyfada, George Papanikolaou, once again the schoolyards across our city will be transformed into lively spaces filled with activities, games, and smiles.
The program will take place in selected schools in our city that we have arranged to have air conditioning, shelters and water coolers.

The Summer Camp of the Municipality of Glyfada offers a wide range of activities that combine learning with entertainment:
The programme includes:
- Educational excursions
- Swimming
- Group games
- Sports
- Activities that develop their imagination and talents and give them the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and socialise.
The Summer Camp is open to children aged 5 to 14 years old (born between 2011 and 2020). Children born in 2020 will be accommodated in a separate and appropriately designed space at the 5th Kindergarten of Glyfada.
It also goes without saying that our children who have a disability are also able to take part in the Summer Camp. We have made sure that all the conditions are in place for them to enjoy it like all children, providing – in addition to other things – special instructors and, if necessary, parallel support.
Registration starts today and can be done online at www.glyfada.gr/camp. Registration closes on Wednesday 11 June.
The official launch of the programme will take place on Monday 16 June 2025, at 19:30, at the Municipal Sports Centre “Makis Liugas” (Phoebis 14, Glyfada). The cost of participation in the creative employment program is 80 euros per child and 50 euros for infants, payments will be made on Tuesday 17/6 at the school selected by each child.
Parents and children will have the opportunity to meet the people in charge, see the programme and celebrate the start of a colourful summer together!
The coordination of the summer camp is the responsibility of the Deputy Mayor of Education, Lifelong Learning and Youth Annie Kauka and the delegated Sports Councillor Manolis Hantzos.

We would like to inform our dear parents, in response to related inquiries, that children born in 2020 are also accepted to the Summer Camp of our Municipality.
We clarify that for their safety, their smooth adaptation and for the better operation of the program for this age group, the implementation of the program will be carried out separately at another school, at the 5th Kindergarten of Glyfada: Aretis & Folegandrou.
For the same reasons, the programme will also differ from that for older children.
