The gas network is extended throughout Glyfada

In an organized way the gas network is extended throughout Glyfada! In cooperation with the Greek Gas Distribution Company Enaon EDA, which now owns the development, maintenance, operation and management of the Natural Gas Distribution Network, the Municipality of Glyfada is vigilant so that the work is coordinated, methodical and orderly and the connections are made in a massive and scheduled manner. The Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou made the following statements:

“New applications for connection to the gas network.

Natural gas has expanded relatively slowly in the past period due to both the war in Ukraine and the ensuing energy crisis.

It’s time to speed up again:

Natural gas is greener than oil, generally more economical and ensures an uninterrupted supply.

In our Municipality we have long ago started the installation of natural gas in our schools, while facilitating its development in the surrounding neighbourhoods, especially in Ano Glyfada where the gas network has not been sufficiently extended.

We want – as we have said to all directions repeatedly – the network extension projects to be done properly and neatly, so that they do not spoil freshly paved roads and renovated pavements.

And we will make sure, as far as we can, that this happens. In this context, we have ensured that we are in constant communication with the company so that the planning of the projects is coordinated and implemented with the least possible disturbance to the citizens.

This is best achieved when connections on each road are made in a mass and planned manner.

In this direction, we will also send letters to our fellow citizens in neighborhoods where work is being done on new sidewalks, paving, etc., to get ahead of the gas connections as much as possible.

So that after the required interventions for the connections, we can then eliminate all the patches and any poor workmanship.

Now the development, maintenance, operation, management of the Natural Gas Distribution Network belongs to Enaon EDA.

The company’s mobile consumer service unit will again be located – for the second time in a few days – at Agios Tryphon Square, in Ano Glyfada, on Monday 28 April, from 10:00 to 14:00.

The residents of our city will be able to receive detailed information from Enaon EDA executives on the process of connection to the natural gas network, submitting a connection application and concluding a connection contract, as well as on the planning of the expansion of the natural gas distribution network in their area.
