The new interactive fountain in Terpsithea has delighted young and old alike

Exciting, refreshing and safe, with changing colours and impressive water choreographies, the interactive fountain in Karaiskaki Square is the new reference point for our city.

Water jets shoot from the floor and, for children’s imagination, create a maze in which children play, run, get wet, have a great time! This is a fountain suitably designed for play, as it has no standing water, which can be dangerous. The water is filtered and the floor is non-slip.

“We have created a new landmark in our Terpsithea” says the Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou. He adds:

“In Karaiskaki Square, a surprise for young – and old! – children:

A fountain comes out of the earth, a water spectacle and lots of play for our little ones.

The redevelopment in this part of our beloved square, we worked on it a lot.

We wanted something new and original.

We also wanted plenty of greenery, so we planted many large new trees. We also installed flooring with bioclimatic materials and made other interventions.

And at the centre of it all, a new large, original fountain, with the water element fascinating all those who have passed by our Terpsithea and Karaiskaki Square these days.

We apologize in advance to the moms and dads whose kids and friends will get soaked, but …that’s the game!

Our new square is good-looking 😊

Our life in Glyfada continues to change with projects”.
